Welcome to the North Dakota Department of Health Surface Water Quality Data Portal. This site will give
you the ability to view surface water stations across North Dakota on a map and download sampling
results for lakes, reservoirs, river and streams.
Surface water is water that has collected on the ground or in a stream, river, lake, or wetland; It is
related to water that has collected as groundwater or atmospheric water. Surface water is naturally
replenished by precipitation and naturally lost through discharge to evaporation and sub-surface seepage
into the ground.
