As an aid to hazardous waste generators in North
Dakota, the Hazardous Waste Program will conduct a compliance assistance visit.
A facility may request this assistance or it may be conducted at the discretion
of the inspector. A compliance assistance visit is designed for new facilities,
facilities never inspected or those with new processes. The
compliance visit reviews the same issues as a compliance inspection
without enforcement action being taken against
the facility. It is expected that non-compliance will be corrected or these may
become violations in future inspections.
