Notice: The Department will accept in-person training course completion certificates for initial and refresher training. In addition, refresher training
completion certificates may be accepted if the course is attended by live remote learning, using an application such as Teams or Zoom,
and approved by the Department.
Asbestos Control Program
The Asbestos Control Program enforces the Emission Standards for Asbestos under the North Dakota Pollution Control Rules. The Asbestos Control Program also licenses contractors and certifies workers for asbestos abatement activities and project monitoring. Currently, there are 55 companies licensed in North Dakota to perform asbestos abatement activities, and over 600 persons certified in the asbestos disciplines, including asbestos abatement workers, supervisors, inspectors, management planners, project designers, and project monitors.
